On May 26, 2024, the program “Career Path” took place in Auditorium A201 at the College of Foreign Economic Relations. The program was organized in conjunction with the College of Foreign Economic Relations, the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA), and the Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Institute (VLI).
The main purposes of the program were:
- Students could connect and interact directly with representatives from businesses in small group settings (the world of coffee) around topics such as career orientation and business needs for students majoring in the Import-Export and Logistics fields.
- A number of activities and tests helped students to identify their own abilities and suitability for various job positions, and build their own career development plans.
- Students had their CVs directly reviewed 1:1 by businesses, practiced professional demeanor for interviews, experienced real interviews, and handled situations related to work skills, integration, and adaptation to the business environment.
Attending the program from the school's side were Dr. Nguyễn Minh Tiến – Vice Rector of the College; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phạm Văn Tài – Head of the Faculty of International Trade, lecturers of the Faculty of International Trade, and over 300 students from the high-quality Import-Export and Logistics program.

From the Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Institute (VLI), Assoc. Prof. Hồ Thị Thu Hòa, the Director of the Institute, was present, along with 23 guests and speakers who are entrepreneurs from various companies in Ho Chi Minh City.

The main content of the “Career Path” program includes:
Part 1: Insights from business representatives on career orientation and business needs
Mr. Trần Quốc Huy, Senior Import-Export Manager - Acting Director of International Business Development at PNJP, shared with students about the overall relationship between the supply chain and Logistics.
Ms. Trương Sĩ Thị Lài, Human Resources Director at United International Pharma (UIP), helped students understand job positions and career advancement levels within a company, what the company expects from new graduates, and how to persuade employers…
Mr. Phạm Ngọc Hùng (Henry Phạm), Recruitment Officer at KPMG in Vietnam and Cambodia, shared with students his experience in preparing job applications
Part 2: The “World of Coffee” activity, introduced for the first time in the program, created an exciting atmosphere for over 300 students in the auditorium. The students were divided into small groups (10-15 students per group), with each business representative rotating through the groups on various topics. The business representatives answered questions, provided summaries, and shared practical insights on work skills, integration, and adaptation to the business environment. Through this activity, the students gained extremely valuable experiences.

Before the end of the program, the students were asked to write about the lessons they had learned, the skills they had gained when being instructed to write a CV, and other key takeaways. All of this information would be collected by the organizers to enhance the quality of future programs and assess the effectiveness for better development.
The “Career Path” program was a resounding success, providing immensely practical value for students majoring in the Import-Export and Logistics fields before their graduation.
